Believe me, canned or jarred pasta sauces got me through college and a large majority of my early home-owning years. But once I acknowledged just how easy it was to make a great, delicious sauce on my own, I got hooked on having fun with it.
Not only will you end up saving money this way, but you can also literally use anything you have on hand. Above having a yummy, nutritionally rich sauce that isn’t absolutely full of sugar and sodium, I get to expand my cooking abilities by experimenting with different flavours.
My confidence in making quick but delicious tomato sauces has skyrocketed since I started playing with different ingredients and now it’s just an awesome way to sneak veggies to my kids. Win, win, all…
