I found that it took a little while for my account to start getting views and for reads to get into the hundreds with over a dozen articles posted. Keep consistent. What I love about Medium is that (you're right) your article has a great draw like the title and good engagement, they can pick up steam several months after posting. I am constantly reading stuff from January and late last year. If the information is still relevent, it'll get the attention it deserves!
